Hi folks,

I have just joined the forum and look forward to contributing to discussions. I am an Apple fan and on my fifth Mac [G5 iMac with OS10.4.6]. Am I the only Mac user here?

Cheers

I am also a Mac user, in fact I still have my original 'Apple II' from the early days of computing.  It still works as well !   I also have a PC because of my work in systems engineering.
All the Best
TJ

Hi TJ,

I too have been using Macs for many years, from an SE in 1989 till a G5 iMac now. What I like about them includes 1] design - they look so good, 2] quality control - I have never had a bad one and all were still working perfectly when I upgraded, 3] the operating system is so reliable and easy to use and 4] the free software such as iLife and the built in speakers and webcam that would cost many hundreds of pounds separately.

Today I had to set up my son-in-law's PC and it took twenty minutes just to sort out all the cables, with those screws next to the plugs and the separate mains leads for monitor and grey tower and the speakers etc. My iMac has one mains lead and two usb leads from it - that's all!

I have to use PCs also of course in various places I work at but find it like driving a Ford Ka after the Mercedes of my Macs.

I do appreciate my Mac.
